Booking a stranger into your home to talk about window furnishings is a small leap of faith, so here is exactly how it works with us: one visit of about an hour, samples brought to you, precise measurements of every window you want covered, and a written itemised quote — with no obligation and no follow-up pressure. That is the whole model.
There is no showroom to visit because the showroom is the boot of the van. On the Peninsula, seeing samples against your own light and your own walls beats seeing them under fluorescent lights in a shopping strip anyway — a fabric that looks perfect in a showroom can read completely differently in a west-facing living room at 4pm with the sun coming off the bay.

What should you do before the visit?
Nothing is required, but two things help.
Know which rooms matter most. If the budget has a limit, we would rather fit the main bedroom and living room properly than spread thin across the whole house. Telling us that up front means the quote reflects your priorities rather than ours.
Have a reference image on your phone. A photo from Instagram, a friend’s place in Mount Martha, a room you saw in a rental — anything. It shortcuts twenty minutes of describing a look in words.
What happens during the visit?
We measure every opening to the millimetre, because everything we fit is made to measure. This is the step a DIY kit cannot replicate and the reason ours fit flush rather than leaving light gaps down the sides.
Then we talk through what each room actually needs: blockout where you sleep, sunscreen where the western sun comes off the bay, moisture-tolerant PVC in wet areas, and whether motorisation earns its keep on your high or hard-to-reach windows.
You will get honest advice on where not to spend, too. Not every window needs the premium option, and saying so is how we get referred. Our full blinds and shutters range covers everything from the most economical custom roller blind up.

What does the quote itself include?
A written, itemised quote — each window, each product, installation and warranty, all stated. Not a single lump-sum figure you cannot interrogate.
If you accept, manufacture begins, because nothing is off the shelf. We confirm the exact lead time when you accept, since it varies by product and fabric availability, and we would rather give you a real date than an optimistic one. Installation is done by a qualified carpenter-joiner — which is not the industry norm — in a single visit for most homes.
We treat the quote as a commitment on price: the number you sign is the number you pay.
Common questions about the measure and quote
Is it really free?
Yes — the measure, the quote and the advice, with no conditions and no obligation to proceed. There is no call-out fee and no travel charge anywhere between Frankston and Portsea.
Do you service my suburb?
We cover the Mornington Peninsula from Frankston to Portsea and the surrounding areas, including the Western Port side. You can see the full list on our areas we serve page.
Can you quote a renovation from plans?
We can give a working estimate from plans, which is useful for budgeting during construction. The final measure has to wait until the frames and reveals are actually in, because built dimensions and plan dimensions are rarely identical — and shutters in particular are joinery, where a few millimetres matter.
How long does the visit take?
About an hour for a typical home. A larger house or one with a lot of awkward windows takes longer, and an acreage property with several buildings longer again. We do not rush it, because the measure is the part everything else depends on.
Will I be pressured to decide on the spot?
No. You get the quote and you take as long as you need. We are a local business that lives on referrals from people on the Peninsula, and pressure selling is a poor way to earn those.
Do I need to be home for the whole visit?
Ideally yes, because the useful part is the conversation about how each room is used. If that is difficult, we can work with a partner, a tenant or a property manager, and we do this regularly for holiday properties.
